Jen good luck with your new listing on Lake Hartwell. I am sure you will sell it fast!
Jen, I have always wanted a house on the water, and this seems to have everything I need at the right price. To bad that it isn't a few hundred miles closer :) :)
Hi Jen, I am the lady who phoned you Thursday, 4 November. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the virtual tour. It was a nice trip down nostalgia lane to see the property my parents acquired when I was 11 years old. The inside has changed lots, but parts were still recognizable. The white kitchen cabinets are original to the house. This house was originally the top of a garage apartment that was moved when the Atlanta airport was expanded, it was already many years old. My father, mother, sister and I cleared the lot and shoreline and built the deck (yes the part of the porch nearest the driveway was originally an honest to goodness redwood deck) and porch "by hand". It was all a labor of love. Should anyone be curious about more of it's history, I would be glad to hear from you. I only wish it were more in the price range I would be interested in for a cabin near the mountains. Take care, and good luck with the sale....Linda Yarbrough Sumner
Thank you Linda! It's always so nice to hear the history of a home. I've spoken to the neighbors on both sides of the home and they both have been there many years. I had heard about the house being moved from the Atlanta Airport area but I didn't know it was the top of a garage apartment originally. If you would like to make an offer, I will gladly present all offers to my seller. Give me a call and we'll chat some more.
