Parker's on Ponce, the Steakhouse in Decatur GA has made it to my list of restaurants worthy of regular visits. In metro Atlanta, we have tons of restaurants to choose from. Some are excellent and some are at the far other end of the scale. Parker's on Ponce rates excellent with me and everyone I've talked to.
Parker's on Ponce opened in November 2008 in the former Mick's Restaurant on the Square in downtown Decatur. It's been completely renovated and it's owned by brothers J-T and Christopher Scott. I think I've been there just about every month since it opened. For me, that says a lot. Whether it's girl's night out with $4 Stoli Martinis and appetizers or Sunday Brunch with the family or a romantic candlelight dinner for 2, this place is awesome. 
The staff is welcoming and professional. The food is always cooked to mouth watering perfection. Some of my favorites include the filet mignon and the house salad with mixed greens, peppered bacon, toasted pecans and dried cherries with gorgonzola-vinaigrette dressing. I highly recommend the black truffle mac & cheese. I don't know how they can make mac & cheese that good, but it's a must have.
Parker's is classy, yet casual and comfortable. There are 2 double sided stacked stone fireplaces. The dark wood and soft lighting along with candlelight help to create a wonderful atmosphere. It's the perfect place for gatherings big or small. Parker's is available for special events too. 
When I spoke with the owner J-T Scott, he said that Decatur was missing a steakhouse which is why they (he and his brother Christopher) decided to open Parker's on Ponce as a steakhouse. We're so glad they did.
Parking is available behind the restaurant in the designated parking spaces. There is parking in the GA Power parking deck and Parker's on Ponce will validate your parking.
